Philip Rivers has decided to retire after 17 seasons, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Wednesday.
"It's just time," Rivers told the Union-Tribune. "It's just right."
Rivers spent his first 16 seasons with the Chargers in San Diego and Los Angeles, and a final one in Indianapolis, where he led the Colts back to the playoffs with an 11-5 record.
