Tyron Woodley’s mum held back by security after foul-mouthed rant at fan

Tyron Woodley's mum unleashed a foul-mouthed tirade at a fan in the aftermath of her son's defeat to Jake Paul on Saturday night.

The ugly exchange, that was caught on camera, saw Deborah Woodley have to be dragged away by security after reacting furiously to a man questioning what had gone wrong for her boy after he was knocked out in the sixth round by YouTuber Paul.

Former UFC star Woodley, 39, had taken the fight at short notice in place of Tommy Fury, who withdrew citing a rib injury and a bacterial chest infection.

It meant a chance of revenge for the 'The Chosen One', after he was beaten by Paul in August following a hotly disputed points decision.

However, after five largely uneventful rounds it was Paul, 24, who prevailed after unleashing a powerful right hand which floored his rival and notched him a KO victory.

'Mama Woodley', as she's traditionally known, was in the crowd at the Amalie Arena in Florida and just minutes after the dramatic finale, had to endure a fan holding a mobile phone up to her face and asking "What went wrong for [Tyron] tonight?"

The question instantly riled her, and she shouted "What the f*** do you think motherf*****?!

"What is wrong with you?"

Mrs Woodley then continued to shout expletives as she was dragged away by security guards, while the fan tried to defend himself by repeatedly saying he merely "asked a question."

The outburst could be viewed as out of character, with Woodley well-known in UFC circles for behaving graciously towards her son's opponents.

Back in September 2018, she famously consoled Liverpool's Darren Till after he'd been submitted at the American in their world title bout, and also embraced an emotional Kamaru Usman after he ended her son's UFC welterweight championship reign the following year.

The video clip was posted on Twitter by @shannonsharpeee, and whilst it was widely greeted with hilarity, some fans suggesting the manner in which she was approached was wrong.

"She hugged and celebrated with Jake and his family. Got mad at a simple question." replied @hec_her05, while @LiqourScores added "This was the wrong time to ask her literally right after it happened come on man."

Whether Woodley now pursues a third professional boxing bout remains to be seen, while Paul's victory ensured he remained unbeaten, with 'The Problem Child's' record not standing at 5-0.
