Mike Tyson has left his trainer with a swollen lip while training ahead of his highly-anticipated boxing comeback.
The Baddest Man on the Planet uploaded a video online of him taking to the pads to unleash a vicious combination. Tyson delivered a jaw-dropping four punch sequence but his final left hook was so hard it ended up connecting with trainer Rafael Cordeiro’s face.
It resulted in significant swelling on the Brazilian mixed martial arts coach's bottom lip. Meanwhile, 55-year-old Tyson captioned the Instagram post with a stern warning, saying: “When you play with fire eventually you will get burned. Sorry about that.”
Cordeiro also somehow saw the funny side of being bludgeoned, turning to the camera after the session to show off his busted lip. He could be heard saying: "Today was the day. You play with fire it sometimes happens."
It comes ahead of Iron Mike’s potential return to the ring, with Paul brothers Jake and Logan calling out the legend. And podcast guru Joe Rogan even claimed Tyson had been taking supplements to prepare for an upcoming clash.

The former knockout artist made a long-awaited return to boxing when he took on fellow legend Roy Jones Jr in November 2020. Their exhibition bout was a huge success despite ending in a draw after eight rounds.
Tyson appeared the stronger fighter and has since continued to upload footage of him keeping in shape. It was claimed last year that he had agreed a $100million bout with YouTuber Jake Paul, until the pair later denied rumours.
Yet the boxing icon recently confirmed plans to reopen talks with Paul, saying: "I'm going to call him sometime Friday and we're going to talk, absolutely. I don't look at him the way society looks at him, I can't even say what they call him.”
Meanwhile, Paul has confirmed his return to the ring on August 13 with an unnamed opponent. Among the list of potential fighters are Tommy Fury and former UFC champion Anderson Silva.
