Eddie Hall has vowed to “punch Hathor Bjornsson’s brains out” when they meet in the boxing ring later this year.

The former World’s Strongest Man is set to face Bjornsson, best known for playing ‘The Mountain’ in award-winning series Game of Thrones, in September after watching him break his deadlift world record in May of last year.

The pair have been embroiled in a feud ever since the Icelander broke Hall’s record, meaning they will settle their differences in a bout being dubbed ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History’.

Bjornsson took part in his first fight last weekend, putting Steven Ward on the canvas in his exhibition draw with the British fighter.

After the exhibition he fired shots at Hall and said: “Eddie, you just have to train, man. I’m taking this seriously.

“I’ve seen you training. You been fighting this poor guy.

“If you want to beat me, you have to at least spar. If you’re not taking this seriously, I’m going to knock you out in the first round.

“You say you’re training hard. Bro, from what I’ve seen, it doesn’t look good.

“The fight against Eddie will be six round. I promise I will be in the best shape of my life in September and I’ll knock him out.”

And Hall has hit back at Bjornsson by releasing footage which shows him battering one of his sparring partners from pillar to post in training.

The 33-year-old also sent his rival a chilling warning and wrote on Instagram: “Training's ramping up, the countdown is on.

“Every punch is one step closer to punching Thor's brains out. I can't wait.”

Surprisingly, pop legend Robbie Williams endorsed his latest video and commented: “Yes youth.”

Yet Hall also drew criticism online for the video, with some fans accusing him of “bullying” his sparring partner.

One wrote: “Paddy shouldn’t be a sparring partner, he’s just getting hurt plus he obviously scared of Eddie so it is useless for both of them.”

While another commented: “Eddie and Paddy in that small ring seems like a ‘bullying’ situation to me almost lol.”
