Deontay Wilder has sent Tyson Fury a warning over a trilogy fight. Wilder was stunned by Fury in Las Vegas on Saturday night, but insists a third fight will ‘definitely’ happen. Wilder was rocked early and was down in the third and fifth rounds before being stopped in the seventh.
It puts Fury at the top of the heavyweight division and on course for an undisputed fight with Anthony Joshua.
But he may to get through Wilder one more time, with AJ also pencilled in to face Kubrat Pulev as his mandatory challenger.
And Wilder has confirmed he wants a rematch and has sent Fury a warning over a third showdown.
“The rematch is definitely going to happen,” Wilder told The Athletic.
“We’re going to get it on. I want to get right back to it.”
Wilder has complained that his outfit coming into the ring hampered him due to the weight his legs had to carry.

He didn’t look himself in the ring, but mainly due to Fury’s attack and front-foot masterclass.
Fury gave a demonstration of skill and strategy as he took Wilder apart to seal the WBC Heavyweight title.
“A lot of people saw I wasn’t the same Deontay Wilder in there and they’re correct,” Wilder said.
“It’s my own fault. My uniform I wore was very heavy for me. I had no legs from the first round on.
“My main focus was to survive with my legs, and not on the principles I know and normally think of. I couldn’t follow up with the game plan because of my legs. I couldn’t do anything.”
Fury talked up a third fight in the immediate aftermath and looks likely to grant Wilder a rematch.

But his camp are already in talks with Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn over a British battle.
Hearn wants the clash to be next for both men but knows there are a lot of obstacles to overcome.
Hearn told Sky Sports News: “He’s promoted by Bob Arum predominantly. Frank Warren is also involved, MTK are his management company. I’ve spoke to Top Rank and I’ve spoke to MTK straight after the fight.
“Everybody is very clear on this. Everybody wants this fight – Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, MTK, Top Rank, Frank Warren, Matchroom.
“There are some hurdles to overcome on the broadcasting, but nothing too much.
“I promise you this fight will happen. If we have to fight (Kubrat) Pulev, we’ve got to beat Pulev, and if he has to fight Wilder, he’s got to beat Wilder again. Both of those things will happen.
“Fury will beat Wilder again and Joshua will knock Pulev clean out, despite Bob Arum telling us very differently.
“You will get this fight. We will do everything that it takes to make this fight.
“Last time, you had us and Team Wilder and we were locking heads. Right now, you have two guys and two camps that genuinely want this fight, that genuinely will do everything that they can to make this fight. It is the only fight.
“When are we ever going to get the chance of two British world heavyweight champions fighting for the undisputed title against each other? It’s never happened before it will never happen again.
“We’d be clowns, we’d be idiots if we didn’t make this fight. We believe we win the fight, they believe they win the fight, so let’s see it.”
